The University Area Community Development Corporation’s computer lab provides the University Area community with access to computers and the internet. The primary purpose of the computer lab is providing community members resources to find jobs. The lab offers one-on-one job search assistance, career workshops, and online resources. Community members can search and apply for jobs, create resumes and cover letters, and access computer-based training covering a wide range of computer skills and programs including Microsoft Office® programs.
UACDC is also an ACCESS Community Partner. The ACCESS Florida system allows customers to connect with their public assistance information through the online application and MyACCESS Account, http://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida/
• Services are provided free of charge to all community members and operate all year long.
• Visitors may print up to 10 pages per day.
• Photo ID is required to use the computers. Users must be at least 18 years old.
Users are also welcome to use the lab for personal use, but job seekers are given preference using the computers.
For volunteer opportunities in the lab visit the University Area CDC’s volunteer page.
*The community center also provides free faxing and notary services (in the main building).
